Hail Storm pictures from past storms!

How hail forms and falls.
As droplets are pulled into the stratosphere by the powerful
updrafts the droplet freezes and falls back toward the earth.
Before it reaches the ground it is covered with more moisture
and pulled back into the stratosphere and freezes again.
This process is repeated until the updrafts are no longer able
to support the weight of the newly formed hail stones.
